  North Korea Tries To Upstage July 4th Fireworks
Not to be outdone by the U.S. launching the Space Shuttle on our Independance Day Holiday, North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Il desides to fire off his own fireworks display, with his country test-launching six missiles, including a long-range Taepodong, in defiance of international warnings of retaliation.

UPDATE: North Korea fired missle number 7 at 5:22 p.m. local time (4:22 a.m. EDT), as reported by the Kyodo News agency. The missile landed 6 minutes later, the report said.
