An Excuse To Put Byung-Hyun Kim In An Headline
Barry Bonds hit his 715th homer yesterday, passing Babe Ruth for sole possession of second place for the career home run record, and now starting a Bonds-watch countdown of 41 to beat Hank Aaron's record of 755. Bonds already holds baseball's single-season home record.
Bonds reached his mark on a 3-2 pitch from Colorado starter Byung-Hyun Kim over the center-field fence in the fourth inning of the Rockies' 6-3 win over the Giants yesterday in San Francisco. He had 17 at-bats over fives games between hitting number 714 and number 715.
